Some history about the hamburger

The invention of this delicious dish is still controversial today, many claim to be the pioneers in devising a dish with ground beef fillet between two loaves. The truth is that the hamburger grew with the concept of fast food and is part of one of the most popular foods in American food.

Word “hamburger” from the city of Hamburg, in Germany, it’s said that German immigrants were the ones who introduced to the United States the dish called American Steak in the Hamburg style. According to a letter from Delmonico’s Restaurant, in 1834 he was already offering it to his customers. In 1895 a chef named Louis Lassen, from Connecticut, USA, made the first North American hamburger, it is said that the recipe was obtained from some sailors from the port of Hamburg.

The first fast food chain was White Castle in the 1920s by Edgar Waldo Billy Ingram, followed in the 1940s with McDonald’s by executive Ray Kroc, followed by Burger King.

Today, the hamburger is so popular that there are countless variants around the world.

Instructions
Hamburger Beef
  1. Grind in a blender, tomato, 4 slices of bacon, thyme and marjoram, to form a paste, don't add water. Reserve. Grind in molcajete, peppers and garlic. Reserve. We add what we got from the molcajete (garlic and pepper) to the 500g of beef, and the rest of the ingredients along with what we got from the blender. Integrate all the ingredients well. We form small spheres and shape them by hand. We cook the hamburgers in a frying pan with little oil or on the grill, until they are well cooked. Roast the Anaheim pepper on a comal(griddle) or grilled. Put it in a bag to sweat approx. 5 min. Remove the skin, seeds and veins from the chili. Reserve
Caramelized onion
  1. Cut the onion into julienne strips. In a frying pan, add the onion to the onion. We add the sugar until they are well cooked, we wait for the sugar to caramelize. Let it cold down.
